Lizella Ruth Culley

Lizella Ruth Culley died in Jefferson Manor in the Dallas, Ore. Wednesday, March
6, 2002, at age 90.

Born Nov. 24, 1911, in Elk City, Okla., Mrs. Culley was the daughter of the late
Andrew and Bertha Fender. She was a Woodland resident for 48 years and attended
the First Baptist Church. Some people known her as Zella. She moved to Dallas on
March 29, 1997 to live with her daughter and son-in-law until she became a
resident at Jefferson Manor in Sept. of 2001. She married her husband in Kansas.
They made their first home in Osage City, Kan., where their first son was born.
They moved to Des Moines, Iowa, where their daughter and two other sons were
born. According to her family members, "she enjoyed her church activities. She
also enjoyed her home and family."

Mrs. Culley is survived by her children, Keith Culley of Monmouth, Ore., Glenna
Davis of Dallas, Ore, Gary Culley of Port Orford, Ore., and Larry Culley of
Coquille, Ore.; sister, Bonnie Woods of Sacramento; brothers, Floyd and Richard
Fender of Garden Grove; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Culley; and her sister.

A funeral service is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 15, at the First
Baptist Church in Woodland. Visitation will be held at the Dallas Mortuary
Chapel in Dallas, Ore.

Dallas Mortuary Chapel of the Dallas, Ore. is assisting the family with
arrangements.
