Perazzo pbperazzo@comcast.net and Judith Hinton November 18, 2004, 10:25 pm Woodland "Daily Democrat," Wednesday, March 20, 2002 Eloise Laura Beckmann Eloise Laura Beckmann died at Stollwood Convalescent Hospital in Woodland, Sunday, March 17, 2002, at age 90. Born Feb. 18, 1912, in Geyserville, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Mabel Voelker. Her childhood was spent in Colusa County, south of Grimes. Mrs. Beckmann lived 29 years in Knights Landing and was a resident of Woodland for the past 41 years. She was a homemaker most of her life and taught ceramic lessons in her home from 1969 to 1989. She exhibited her own work at many craft shows throughout the state. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star for 49 years, as well as past patron, past deputy and past mother adviser of the Order of the Rainbow for Girls. She loved to garden and always had a beautiful yard, according to her family, who added "she loved to play bridge and had belonged to three bridge clubs." Mrs. Beckmann is survived by daughter, Ruth Gilbert of Woodland; son Fred Beckman and wife Carolyn of Los Alamos, Mexico; grandchildren Diane Frost and husband Rob of Woodland, Keena Beckmann of San Francisco and Bill Beckmann of Denver, Colo.; great-granddaughters Leslie Frost of Rohnert Park, Karli Frost of Woodland, and Keli Beckmann of Denver, Colo. She was preceded in death by husband William (Bill) Beckmann on Feb. 19, 1971, and son-in-law Lloyd Gilbert on Feb. 6, 1997. A funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, March 21, at McNary's Chapel in Woodland. Interment will be private. The family requests memorials be sent to St. John's Retirement Village, 135 Woodland Ave., Woodland, 95695, or the charity of the donor's choice.
