Angela Rivas Hernandez

Angela Rivas Hernandez died Monday, Feb. 16, 2004, at Alderson Convalescent
Hospital at age 87.

Born Aug. 1, 1916, in San Diego where she attended schools from elementary to
high school. Mrs. Hernandez had been a Yolo County resident for 62 years. She
was employed at Contadina Foods in Woodland for 38 years as a supervisor.

Survivors include her sons, Jack, of Madison, Jim, of West Sacramento, Nelson,
Jay and John Hernandez, of Woodland; daughters, Irene, Kitty, and Sally
Hernandez; 27 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and three
great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Hernandez in 1973; daughter
Stella in 1983; sons, Jessie in 1968 Joseph Hernandez in 2000 and Jerry
Hernandez in 2002.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Hernandez Memorial Fund, P.O. Box
171, Madison 95653.

Arrangements are under the direction of Evergreen Funeral Services of Woodland.

Services: A vigil is scheduled at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23, at Holy Rosary
Catholic Church, 301 Walnut St., Woodland. A Mass of Christian burial is
scheduled at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, also at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Woodland, followed by lunch reception
at Yolo Town Hall.
