Born Oct. 3, 1920, in La Connor, Wash., Mrs. Damsen had been a Yolo County resident for 25 years. She was a waitress for 40 years. She worked the last few years at the Tamale Factory on Main Street in Woodland. Survivors include her husband, John Damsen; children, Monte Axtell, Darlene Clark, Deanna De Maagd, Vicki O'Connor, and Vera Harper; sisters, Eleanor Herness, Molly Rice, Joanne Baker, and Mary Lou Issaacson; brothers, Mark Maynard and Ernie Maynard; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sons, Dennis Jensen and Earl Robert Harper Jr.; sister, Anita Paulson; and brothers, George Maynard, Bob Maynard and Tom Maynard, The family requests memorials be directed to American Lung Association. Arrangements are under the direction of McNary's Chapel of Woodland. Services: A graveside service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at Monument Hill Memorial Park, Woodland.
