Elizabeth Justis Goodman

Elizabeth Justis Goodman died in Stollwood Convalescent Hospital, Woodland
Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004, at age 90.

Born Aug. 21, 1913, in the Dunnigan area, Mrs. Goodman was a lifelong Dunnigan
resident. She moved to Dunnigan when she was two years old with her parents John
and Lena Durrer Justis and sister. She graduated from Pierce High School in
1932. She then attended nursing school in Sacramento and San Francisco. She
married Elmer "Buck" Goodman on Feb. 28, 1935. In 1943 they moved back to
Dunnigan to farm her parents dairy. She worked at the Dunnigan Post office where
she became Postmaster. She belonged to many bridge clubs in Arbuckle over the
years.

Survivors include her daughter, Janice Noyer and husband Bill of Sacramento;
son, John Goodman and wife Erline of Arbuckle; grandchildren, Bret Goodman,
Sheryl Goodman, Doug Goodman, Todd Goodman, Stacie Noyer, Ashley Noyer; and
seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer
Goodman; son, Jim Goodman; grandson, Jay Goodman; and sister, Marcie Bruner.

The family requests memorials be directed to the Dunnigan Fire Department; or
the Dunnigan Community Church, in her behalf. Arrangements are under direction
of McNary-Moore Funeral Service of Colusa.

Services: A graveside service is scheduled at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, at
Arbuckle Cemetery.
