Paul Shawn Castillo

Paul Shawn Castillo passed away unexpectedly in Truckee, Ca. on Monday, Jan. 26,
2004, at the age of 44.

Born on July 28, 1959, in San Francisco, Ca. he was the son of the late Joseph
P. and Mary M. (McMillan) Castillo Jr. of Esparto, Ca.

Paul grew up in Esparto, Ca. and graduated from Esparto High School in 1977. He
had been an avid participant in all sports programs and was especially fond of
basketball. He continued his love of basketball by playing regularly, and
supporting his favorite team, the Sacramento Kings. Paul also loved coaching
children's baseball and football teams, and enjoyed many other outdoor
activities. Paul was a caring, giving and compassionate person who was always
ready to "lend a hand" to family and friends. Paul worked for the California
Department of Transportation and greatly enjoyed his outdoor maintenance job in
the Kingsvale area.

He is survived by his wife, Norma Ortega of Sacramento, his mother Mary Castillo
of Esparto, sisters, Janeen Castillo-Cleland (Richard), Denise Kidwell of
Woodland, Renee Harmon (Kent) and brother Joseph P. Castillo III of Esparto.
Also survived by his beloved nieces and nephews - Amber, Marissa, Sarah, Brenna,
Marisa, Andrea, Kristina, Dustin, Casey, and Zach. He will be greatly missed by
his many friends, family and his 4-legged friend "Buddy."

The funeral service is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 2, 2004, at 10 a.m., at Kraft
Bros. Funeral Chapel, 175 Second St., Woodland. Interment will take place
immediately following the service at Capay Cemetery, Esparto. Deacon Edward Kull
will officiate. Friends and family are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers,
the family requests blood donations in Paul's memory be directed to the
Sacramento Blood Bank, Stockton Blvd., Sacramento, 95815.

Kraft Bros. Funeral Directors of Woodland is assisting the family with
