Michael Darwin Hensley

Michael Darwin Hensley died unexpectedly at Woodland Memorial Hospital on
Sunday, Jan. 18, 2004, at the age of 46. He was born in Loma Linda, California
on July 28, 1957, to Darwin and Patricia (Wisely) Hensley. He was a resident of
Yolo County for 25 years.

Michael had worked as a tree trimmer for more than 26 years, loving the outdoors
and the challenges of the variety of trees in the "City of Trees." Most recently
he worked for Wilson & Sons. "Big Mike" had previously served in the United
States Army from 1977 to 1981.

He survived by his wife, JoAnn Hensley and children, Torie and Katlyin, all of
Woodland, his mother, Patricia Wind of Colton, brothers, Greg Candelaria and
wife Sue of Gilbert, Ariz., Kieth Hensley of Oklahoma, Darwin and Charlie
Hensley and Marvin Hensley and wife Michelle, all of Montana. Sisters Darla
Reynolds of Montana, Patti Hunt and husband Steve, Vicki Clarke and boyfriend
Roger, Joni Vanek and Candi Candelaria, all of San Bernardino, sisters-in-law,
Sharon Tandy and husband Ed and Barbara Gallivan, all of Woodland, and a
brother-in-law, John DelaTorres and wife Stacey of Chico. His father preceded
him in death.

A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 23, 2004, at 10 a.m. at Kraft
Bros. Chapel, 175 Second St., Woodland, CA, with military honors to be presented
at the conclusion of the service. Pastor Elmer Prout will be officiating.
Private interment will follow at a later date. Memorial donations in his honor
may be directed to the charity of donor's choice.
