Phillip J. Gulick

Phillip John Gulick died March 7, 2004, at Courtyard Health Care Center in
Davis. He was 83.

He was born Dec. 21, 1920, to Edward and Eva Gulick.

While playing piano in a band, he met Gladys Evelyn Paxton, and the couple were
married five years later, in January 1942.

He served in the military during World War II, from 1942 to December 1945. In
1955, he and his wife moved to Anaheim, then, in October 1983, to Davis.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Evelyn, of Davis; sister, Margaret
Turnack of Schereville, Ind.; son, Ronald Gulick and his wife, Linda, of Tracy;
daughter, Jacqueline Allen and her husband, Ron, of Davis; grandchildren Scott
Gulick of Boston, Kristine Pedroza and Cindy Manglona of Tracy, Martha Macias of
Hayward, Curt Ashby of Fair Oaks and Ryan Allen of Davis; and 11
great-grandchildren.

At the request of the deceased, no memorial service is planned.
