Jewell K. Shirley

Jewell K. Shirley passed away at home in Burson, on Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2004
surrounded by her children and grandchildren.  Born in Arkansas on April 22,
1923, she was 81 years old.

Mrs. Shirley lived at 111 Edwards Street in Winters since 1959.  She was also a
member of New Life Family Church since 1951.

She is survived by her sons, Quinton, Ron, Jim and Stan, all of Winters, and
daughters Brenda Smith of Burson and Kathy Ralph of Elk Grove.  She is also
survived by 20 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and three
great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son Wesley in 1980, and her husband Joseph in
2003.

Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley were held on Monday, Aug. 16, 2004.  Memorial
contributions may be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association, 530 Bercut
Drive, Suite A, Sacramento, CA, 95814.
