She was born Nov. 8, 1922, in Manchester, England, to Adam and Margaret Mullineaux. She served in the WAAF (Royal Air Force) during World War II. While serving in the war, she met Beecher Crampton in the 8th Air Force in 1943. They were married April 15, 1944, in Manchester, England. She had been a Davis resident since 1953 before moving to the care home in Dixon. She was a member of the St. James Parish and with her husband was president of the local Mr. and Mrs. Club and later held statewide office in that organization. She was a member of the Catholic Ladies and served in the Rogers Store Heart Association. She was employed for 25 years at UC Davis in food science and technology. She became an expert in processing olives for canning. She retired in 1988. She was an active bridge player, seamstress and designer of clothes, and most importantly a homemaker, bearing and raising six children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Beecher, in August 2002, and her parents, Adam and Margaret Mullineaux. She is survived by her children, Vivien Cramption of Fair Oaks, Paul Cramption of Tracy, Gregory Crampton of Eugene, Ore., Barbara Thomen of Los Banos, Rita Crampton of Sacramento and Mark Crampton of Eugene, Ore.; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. The vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at St. James Catholic Church, 1275 B St. in Davis. A funeral Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Friday, also at St. James. Burial will be private. The family requests that memorials be directed to Yolo Hospice, P.O. Box 1014, Davis, CA 95617. Arrangements are under the direction of McNary's Chapel in Woodland.
