Soledad M. Acevedo

Soledad M. Acevedo of Missouri City, Texas, formerly of Vacaville, died July 8,
2004, in Houston after a long illness.

Born March 29, 1918, in Penjamo, Mexico, she was a homemaker for 42 years in
Vacaville, enjoyed door-to-door ministry as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and was
very active in her church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Gregorio Acevedo.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Irene and Mario Moreno of Dixon;
sons, Manuel and wife Margaret Guizar of Missouri City, Jaime "Richard" and wife
Emma Delarosa of Tucson, Ariz., and Javier Guizar of Fairfield; sisters, Carmen
and husband Paul of Chico, Mary of Chicago and Helen Flores; brothers, Raymond,
Jessie, Tony and Isadore Chavez, all of Chicago; stepbrother, Robert Perez of
Chicago; 22 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses
west of Davis. David Silva presided.

Arrangements were under the direction of McCune Garden Chapel, 212 Main St. in
Vacaville.
