Bozaich, a 51-year resident of Davis, died July 22, 2004, at his Davis home after a lengthy illness. He was 82. Born Jan. 3, 1922, in Sacramento, he was a 1940 graduate of Sacramento High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Bozaich owned and operated the Sacramento Auto Truck Co. for more than 50 years and was an active member of the California Trucking Association. He was also a member of the Slavic-American Social Club and Sons of Cortula Society and was an avid golfer and photographer. He was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Betty Warner Bozaich. He is survived by his children, Mark Bozaich and his wife Lisa of Citrus Heights, Anne Makowsky and her husband Max of Cape Cod, Mass., and Glen Bozaich of Davis; and brothers, Marvin Bozaich of Hayward and Daniel Bozaich of Wilton. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Davis Funeral Chapel, 116 D St. The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. The funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Davis Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at the Davis Cemetery, 820 Pole Line Road. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be directed to Yolo Hospice, P.O. Box 1014, Davis, CA 95617-1014.
