Perazzo pbperazzo@comcast.net July 3, 2004, 1:24 am "The Davis Enterprise," Tuesday, January 27, 2004 Theodore Stroh Theodore Stroh, a longtime Yolo County resident, died Jan. 23, 2004, in Fergus Falls, Minn. He was 90. He was born April 2, 1913, in Venturia, N.D., to John and Magdalena (Hermann) Stroh. On June 29, 1939, he married Emma Engel in Venturia. He graduated from high school in Groton, S.D., and began farming in the McIntosh County area of North Dakota shortly thereafter. He then moved to Streeter, N.D., and later Valley City, N.D., where he was employed by the International Harvester Company. In 1966 he moved to Davis, where he was employed by UC Davis. He retired in 1978. Later, he moved to Woodland. In September 2001, he and his wife moved to Bismarck, N.D. Upon her death in March 2003, he moved to Fergus Falls, where he lived at Pioneer Senior Cottages. Stroh was active in the churches he belonged to throughout his life, until his health began to fail. He served as president of the Davis Senior Center in 1984 and 1985, taking part in a fund-raising campaign to build a new center. He also served on a variety of panels and county committees for the aged. He was a member of the Elks Club in Woodland. In addition to his wife, seven sisters and five brothers preceded him in death. He is survived by his son, Robert and his wife, Mary, of Sacramento; his daughter Kathleen Ball and her friend Richard Tamke Jr., of Battle Lake, Minn.; and his grandson, Christopher Stroh of Red Wing, Minn. Memorials may be given to the Davis Senior Center, 646 A St., Davis CA 956161, to aid the center's expansion, or to a charity of the donor's choice. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Bismarck, N.D. Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls is in charge of arrangements.
