Loretta Ramos

Loretta Ramos, of Winters, passed away at her home after a courageous battle
with cancer on Dec. 2, 2004. Born April 27, 1938, in Newfoundland, she was 66
years old. Loretta was married to Billy Ramos for 32 years, and was a homemaker
for 42 years. She enjoyed her occasional trip to Cache Creek, loved to sing,
laugh and spend time with her friends and family; especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Billy; daughters Shelly Pardi, Dawn Mayes and
Shane McBurnett, all of Winters; sons, Arnie McBurnett, of Woodland and Jason
Ramos, of San Diego; grandchildren, Andrea Mayes, Leah Mayes, Jonathon Pardi,
Jenna Mayes, Ashley Pardi, Taylor Mayes and Chris (Bubba) Mayes; longtime
friend, Jessie MacKinney and best friend and sister, Barb. Loretta was one of 11
children by her parents, John and Agnes Mitchell, who preceded her in death.
Donations can be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 1652 West
Texas Street, Ste. 110, Fairfield, CA 94533. Visitation was held on Monday, Dec.
6, from 5-8 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:30 p.m. at St. Anthony
Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, Dec. 7, at St.
Anthony Catholic Church, in Winters. Interment will follow at the Winters
Cemetery. Arrangements were made under the direction of Milton Carpenter Funeral
Home.
