July 14, 1932 - February 1, 2005



Richard C. Burns at rest on February 1, 2005, in Davis, CA after a lengthy 
illness. Born on July 14, 1932 in Huntington Park, CA, he was 72 years old. 
He was the much loved husband of Sandy Burns, wife of 16 years, and the beloved 
father of Susan Abrahams of Napa, Matthew Burns of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, and 
Michael Burns of Eldridge, CA. Dick was the proud "Little Grandpa" to Bailey 
Abrahams, Mason Abrahams and Mason Burns. He is further survived by his son-in-
law Mark Abrahams and daughter-in-law Sonia Burns. Dick's quick wit, warm 
heart, and sense of humor touched many lives and will never be forgotten.
A Visitation was held Thursday, February 3, 2005 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the 
Davis Funeral Chapel, located at 116 D Street in Davis. A Graveside Service was 
held on Friday, February 4, 2005 at 11:30 a.m. at the Davis Cemetery located at 
820 Pole Line Road in Davis.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in Dick's name to the American 
Kidney Foundation. A virtual guestbook may be signed at www.davisfuneral.com.
Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Chapel in Davis.
