She was born July 29, 1918, in Alabama. As a military wife, Elna lived in many places, finally settling in Vacaville with her family. She and her husband purchased Markley Cove Resort at Lake Berryessa in 1964 and she was a familiar face behind the county for many years. After moving to Winters, Elna became well known around town as she took her brisk daily walks, rain or shine. Elna's favorite activity was bridge. Her lovely face hid a very competitive spirit and she would play at every opportunity. Elna was an active member of Pioneer Presbyterian Church. Elna is survived by her beloved children and grandchildren: son and daughter-in-law John and Linda Frazier; daughter Leigh Sutherland and granddaughter Quincey Sutherland, all of Winters; granddaughter Betsy Barbosa, of Vacaville and grandson Chad Frazier, of Girdwood, Alaska. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Frazier and her daughter Janenne Pierce. An informal gathering will be held to honor her life on Sunday, June 27, from 3-5 p.m. at 216 Toyon Lane, in Winters. Friends and loved ones are welcome to attend.
