Perazzo pbperazzo@comcast.net July 7, 2004, 6:11 pm "Winters Express," Thursday, June 10, 2004 John Francis Furtado John Francis Furtado passed away on June 5, 2004 at Sutter General Hospital in Sacramento, he was 68 years old. Born on Sept. 9, 1935, in Willows, he was a 35 year resident of Yolo County. Mr. Furtado owned and operated the Do-Co Welding in Esparto since 1977. He was a member of the Woodland Elks Lodge, co-founder of Oyster Boys Barbecued Oysters and a devout Catholic. He is survived by his son Scott Furtado and wife Judy and grandchildren Michael and Victoria Furtado, all of Woodland. A Mass will be held at the Holy Rosary Church on Friday, June 11, at 10 a.m. followed by a graveside service at the Capay Cemetery in Esparto. Donations are being accepted to the "Angel Fund," to help Mr. Furtado's family. Donations may be made to the John Furtado Memorial Fund, in care of First Northern Bank.
