Kim L. Chin

Kim Loy Chin, a 35-year resident of Davis, died June 26, 2004. She was 62.

Born Aug. 1, 1941 in Phoenix, she was raised in San Francisco with her eight
brothers and sisters. She attended UC Berkeley and graduated from the UC San
Francisco School of Pharmacy in 1964.

After raising her family, she returned to the practice of pharmacy and worked
for 14 years until her death.

A golfer and tennis player, she spent recent years traveling the world with her
family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Wing How Yee; mother, Wong Yuen Yee;
and younger brother, Yale Kee Yee.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Chin of Davis; sons, Mark of Alameda,
Jeff of Santa Clara and Greg and his wife Mimi of El Dorado Hills; and
grandsons, Grant and Andrew of El Dorado Hills.

She is also survived by her siblings, Toy San Tom (Stephen), Yale Hong Yee
(Letitia), Toy Kim Yuen (Vincent), Mimi Chin (Henry), Sue Pane Lee (Parke),
Benjamin Yee (Candace) and Bonnie Lowe (Dennis), as well as 31 nieces and
nephews and 36 grandnieces and grandnephews.

A celebration of her life will begin at 3 p.m. Friday at the El Macero Country
Club, 44571 Clubhouse Drive in El Macero.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that remembrances in her name be made to
the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 102454, Atlanta, GA 30368-2454.
