June L. Vannucci

June Leona (Small) Vannucci died peacefully in her sleep on June 22, 2004, at
her Capay home. She was 83.

Born July 7, 1920, in Mountain View, she was a resident of Esparto for the past
80 years. The daughter of James and Angela (Ruch) Small, she was a 1938 honors
graduate of Esparto High School.

She married Fred E. Vannucci in December 1938, and was a rancher in the Capay
Valley for all her adult life. She was an avid gardener and loved going on road
trips.

She is survived by two sons, Fred L. Vannucci and his wife Mary, and Ronald P.
Vannucci and his wife Margarette, both of Esparto; and sister Raye Oroz and
daughters of Capay. Also surviving are five grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren.

At her request, no services will be held. The family requests that donations in
her name be made to Yolo Hospice, Sutter Hospital Cancer Unit or the Esparto
Volunteer Fire Department.

Arrangements are under the direction of Evergreen Funeral Service of Woodland.
