Brown Ruth Banuelos Brown of Davis died June 18, 2004, of lung cancer at Sutter Davis Hospital. She was 70. Born May 31, 1934, in Pacoima, she was raised there and graduated from high school there. She worked for more than 30 years in the medical profession as a medical processor. She had been a resident of Davis for the past 16 years. She was an active member of the Pole Line Road Baptist Church in Davis where she was an associate pianist. Her family described her favorite hobby as family, and said she will be remembered as a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death in 1989 by her first husband, Anthony Banuelos. She is survived by her husband of nine years, John E. Brown of Davis; two daughters, Sandra Hahn of Eugene, Ore., and Lorraine Nelson of Davis; grandchildren, Ashley Bryant of Eugene, Ore., and Caily Nelson, Anthony Nelson and Elisa Nelson, all of Davis; five brothers, Raul Marino, Abel Marino, Ezekiel Marino, Domingo Marino Jr. and Daniel Marino; and two sisters, Priscilla Rodriguez and Mary Helen Lopez. Viewing will be held Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Pole Line Road Baptist Church, 770 Pole Line Road in Davis. A funeral will follow at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will take place following the service, at Davis Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Chapel.
