Rolla N. Morgan

Rolla Newton Morgan died on Dec. 6, 2002, at the Cook Health Care Center in
Youngtown, Ariz.

Born on March 4, 1913, in Trilla, Ariz., to Charles Omer and Nora Ellen Coleman
Morgan, he was 89 years old.

On Dec. 3, 1938, he married Susan Elizabeth Morphy. The couple and their
children lived in Davis between 1955 and 1968. Both daughters, Patricia and
Susan, graduated from Davis High School and the family attended Davis Community
Church.

He retired as a communications specialist with the Department of Defense. He
enjoyed spending his leisure time bowling and dabbling in the art of photography.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Morgan of Youngtown, Ariz.; daughters,
Patricia Janis of Leucadia and Susan Merrill of Irvine; three sisters, Leona
Nichols, Geneva Richards and her husband Paul and MaryLee Barker; four
grandchildren, Jerry Martin, Erin Mistele, Shannon Gracey and Susan Martin; and
three great-grandchildren, Rory Martin, Miranda Martin and Emma Mistele.

A funeral and burial were held in Illinois on Wednesday. A memorial service will
be held Saturday in Youngtown, Ariz. Memorial gifts may be made to a charity of
the donor's choice.
