Barbara Joy Wurth

Barbara Joy Wurth passed away Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001, following a long illness.

Born on February 26, 1929 in Oakland, Barbara made her home in Winters for the
last 38 years.  She graduated from Chico High School in Chico, and then worked
for the telephone company until she married in 1950.

Barbara retired from UC Davis Health Science Library, after working for the
university for 19 years.

Barbara loved to sew, crochet and read.  She also was a leader in the Winters
4-H for sewing.

Barbara is survived by her mother, Ruth Martin of Winters, husband Earl Wurth of
Winters, son Bruce Wurth of Suisun, daughter, Pam Meline of Chico, eight
grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

At her request no services will be held.  In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions can be made in Barbara’s name to a charity of your choice.
