“Winters Express,” Thursday, January 25, 2001
Margaretha Riley

Margaretha Riley passed away on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2001, at her home in Winters.
 Born in Holland, on Dec. 3, 1925, she was 75 years old.

Mrs. Riley was a resident of Winters for 33 years.  She was the first school
crossing guard at Fourth Street and Grant Avenue and was an avid bingo player.

She is survived by her children, Patrick Frank Riley and Michael Henry Riley of
Winters, and Kim Colleen Snow of Ft. Bidwell; seven grandchildren and 12
great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband David A. Riley on Dec. 22, 1994.

Graveside funeral services were held on Tuesday, Jan. 23, at 1 p.m. at the
Winters Cemetery.  Pastor Frank Anderson of the Pioneer Presbyterian Church
officiated.  Remembrances may be made in Mrs. Riley’s name to Yolo Hospice, P.O.
Box 1014, Davis, CA 95617.
