He was born on January 26, 1952 in Woodland. He lived in Woodland for 20 years, and then moved to San Jose to lead a wonderful life. He did just that with his loving wife Donna Lavorico. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his six children, Alex Lavorico III and wife Kathy, Stella Lara and husband Vincent, and Arthur Lavorico, all of Woodland; Erick Lavorico, Raquel Lavorico, and Natalie Lavorico, all of San Jose. He was a devoted grandfather to his grandchildren, Alex IV and Luke Lavorico; Mariah, Vincent and Marcos Lara, and unborn grandchild Lara, all of Woodland. He leaves behind four brothers, Danny, Eddie, David, and Ralph Lavorico all of Woodland, as well as numerous nephews and nieces and a large extended family that will miss him very much. Alex was preceded in death by his father and mother, Alex Lavorico Sr. and Virginia Medina Lavorico, and his father-in-law Reyes Noriega. Alex worked for the Santa Clara County VTA for 17 years. He had many interests, including softball, but his main interest was taking care of his family. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren in their many sporting events and helping them with their hobbies. He made frequent trips to Woodland to visit his family, which was quite large, and it was always a good time when he came to visit. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2004 from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. The Rosary will be held also on Tuesday at 7 p.m. The burial service will be held on Wednesday, May 5, at 11 a.m. All services will be at the Oak Hill Chapel, 300 Curtner Ave. in San Jose.
