Perazzo pbperazzo@comcast.net May 31, 2004, 2:51 pm Woodland "Daily Democrat," April 20, 2004 Jochim, Sebastian Born in Strausburg, North Dakota, January 23, 1913 peacefully passed into heaven on April 11, 2004 in Sacramento, California. He has been a resident of Rio Linda for 67 years. He is survived by his loving wife Julia of 62 years and children Terry Jochim, Grass Valley, Ca.; Dennis Jochim, Sacramento, Ca.; Robert Jochim, Dublin, Ca., and Mark Jochim, Coulterville, Ca.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews; his sisters Genevieve Marques, Josephine Bolan, and Rose Ratikin. Preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Josephine Jochim; brothers, George Jochim and Joe Jochim; sisters, Dorothy Unser and Elizabeth Schreiner. Sebastian, with his family moved to Knights Landing, Ca. in 1937. Sebastian was employed at McClellan Air Force Base, Ca. from 1939 until he retired in 1973. He was a WW II Veteran in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1946. Sebastian and Julia settled in Rio Linda after building their home in 1947. He thoroughly enjoyed construction and remodeling after retirement. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Rosary will be held on Sunday, April 18, 2004 at 5:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1951 North Ave., Sacramento, Ca. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 19, 2004 at 10 a.m., also at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, followed by graveside services at the Calvary Cemetery, 7101 Verner Ave., Sacramento, Ca. A special thanks is extended to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District Rio Linda 111 for all the help to the family, and to my neighbors John and Michelle. In lieu of flowers, send donations to the Rio Linda/Elverta Historical Society; or Restoration of Rio Linda Fire Department Fire Trucks - Engine No. 2 and Engine No. 7, P.O.
