Mr. Hannagan was born March 25, 1921 in Hollister. He had been a Yolo County resident for 74 years. He was a cadet at the University of Minnesota majoring in physics and served in the U.S. Army Air Forces from 1942 to 1946. For 20 years he served as a building manager for Caltrans. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, did volunteer work for the Gibson Mansion and was a former member of the Woodland Elks Lodge and Kiwanis. Survivors include Mr. Hannagan's wife 64 years, Lili "Lollie" A. Hannagan; his daughter, Susan "Puff" Hannagan; his granddaughter, Bridget Michael Lyss; his grandson, Thad Gabriel Ellis; his great-grandchildren, Brittany Haywood, Braden Lyss and Christian Lyss; and his sister Lynn Sperr. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter and his parents, Ira and Nellie Hannagan. Services: A prayer service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18 at St. Joseph's Mausoleum, Woodland. Entombment will be at St. Joseph's Mausoleum. McNary's Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Published in the Daily Democrat on 10/14/2005.
