Hannagan, Burton Alton     
 
March 25, 1921 - Oct. 12, 2005


Burton Alton Hannagan of Woodland died Wednesday, Oct. 12 at age 84.

Mr. Hannagan was born March 25, 1921 in Hollister. He had been a Yolo County 
resident for 74 years. He was a cadet at the University of Minnesota majoring 
in physics and served in the U.S. Army Air Forces from 1942 to 1946. For 20 
years he served as a building manager for Caltrans. He was a member of Holy 
Rosary Catholic Church, did volunteer work for the Gibson Mansion and was a 
former member of the Woodland Elks Lodge and Kiwanis.

Survivors include Mr. Hannagan's wife 64 years, Lili "Lollie" A. Hannagan; his 
daughter, Susan "Puff" Hannagan; his granddaughter, Bridget Michael Lyss; his 
grandson, Thad Gabriel Ellis; his great-grandchildren, Brittany Haywood, 
Braden Lyss and Christian Lyss; and his sister Lynn Sperr. He was preceded in 
death by an infant daughter and his parents, Ira and Nellie Hannagan.

Services: A prayer service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18 at St. 
Joseph's Mausoleum, Woodland. Entombment will be at St. Joseph's Mausoleum. 
McNary's Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
