Paul Silas Hewitt died Monday, Feb. 13, 2006 in Sacramento at age 84.

Mr. Hewitt was born Oct. 14, 1921 in Blair, Neb. to Isaiah and Ida (Taylor) 
Hewitt. He had been a Yolo County resident for 55 years. He worked for UC 
Davis, Hewitt and Pedroia Inc. and was employed in construction for a total of 
44 years. He was a longtime member of the New Testament Church of Woodland.

Survivors include Mr. Hewitt's wife of 64 years, Bernice Hewitt of Rancho 
Cordova; his daughter, Jane Hanson and her husband Walt of Rancho Cordova; his 
son, Paul Hewitt and his wife Carla of Woodland; 11 grandchildren, 26 great-
grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; and his sister, Rachel Hewitt 
of Rancho Cordova.

The family requests memorials in Mr. Hewitt's name be directed to the New 
Testament Church, 108 W. Woodland Ave., Woodland, 95695. 

Services: Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16 at 
Monument Hill Memorial Park, 35036 County Road 22, Woodland with Pastor Doug 
Zeck of New Testament Church officiating. Evergreen Funeral Service of 
Woodland is assisting the family with arrangements.
