Kenneth Ramon "Poppy" Karraker died at his Woodland residence Saturday, Dec. 
31, 2005 at age 75. 

Mr. Karraker was born May 12, 1930 in Placentia to the late Dean and Christina 
(Spencer) Karraker. He attended school in Placentia. He had been a Yolo 
Country resident for 21 years. He worked in maintenance and as a caregiver for 
more than 40 years. 

Survivors include Mr. Karraker's wife of 21 years, Naomi Karraker of Woodland; 
his daughters, Lori Carter and her husband Terry of Woodland, Betty Bassnett 
and her husband David of Alma, Ark., Joni Dunkak and her husband Bill of 
Dixon, Evie Doupe and her husband Steve of Sacramento, Sandee Tafoya and her 
husband Chris and Heather Navarrette and her husband Anthony, all of Woodland; 
10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, including his great-grandsons, 
Anthony and Austin Navarrette. He was preceded in death by his great-
granddaughter, Vanessa Navarrette; his parents; and his brothers, Buford, Dean 
Jr. and Vernon Karraker.

The family requests memorials in Mr. Karraker's name be made to Yolo Hospice, 
P.O. Box 1014, Davis, 95617; or Maxwell Elementary School, 50 Ashley Ave., 
Woodland, 95695. 

Services: Respecting the wishes of Mr. Karraker, no services will be held. 
Evergreen Funeral Service of Woodland is assisting the family with 
arrangements.
