Jorgensen, Susan Diane     
 
Susan was born May 26, 1941 in Glendale. She left us on Nov. 15, 2005 in her 
home in Esparto. She lived in Yolo County for 42 years. She grew up in Temple 
City and received her bachelor's degree from Los Angeles State University.
In 1959 Susan met her husband Larry Jorgensen in Hawaii. In 1964 they married 
and were happy for 42 years.

Susan was employed at the University of California Davis for 26 years before 
retiring having spent that time in the Graduate Division. She had many special 
friends there. After retiring Susan became active with the Friends of the 
Esparto Library and with the Sacramento Zoo. Books and animals were two of her 
loves, along with her flowers.

Susan had requested that there will be no services. Anyone wishing to honor 
her memory may donate to the Friends of the Esparto Library, P.O. Box 787, 
Esparto, 95627 or the Sacramento Zoological Society, 3930 West Lane Park Dr., 
Sacramento, 95822-1123.

Susan was preceded in death by her mother and father, John and Dorothy Kilburn 
of Woodland and her sister Carol Hood of Sedona, Ariz.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Jorgensen of Esparto. Nephew, Nathan 
Hood and family of Tucson, Ariz. and numerous nieces and nephews in California.

McNary's Chapel assisted the family with arrangements.
