Mrs. Marks was born Aug. 3, 1918 in Todd County, Minn. She had been a Yolo County resident for 60 years. For 15 years she worked as a saleswoman for JCPenney and she was a member of American Lutheran Church in Woodland. Survivors include Mrs. Marks' stepdaughters, Paulette Marks and Gwendolyn Marks, both of Dover, Ohio; her sons, Bryan Guse, Aaron Marks and Alden Marks, all of Woodland; her grandchildren, Jon Guse, Maggie Pinkston, Kayla Marks, Elisa Marks, Makenzi Marks and Conner Marks; four great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Ida Wedin of Minnesota and Alpha Hebert of Davis. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Leonard Guse and her second husband, Charles Marks. The family requests memorials in Mrs. Marks' name be directed to American Lutheran Church, 1114 College St., Woodland, 95695. Services: A funeral is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9 at McNary's Chapel, 458 College St., Woodland. Reverend Vernon Holmes of American Lutheran Church will officiate. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery. McNary's Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Published in the Daily Democrat on 1/7/2006.
