Benjamin Ali Maurice died at Sutter Davis Hospital on Dec. 22, 2005 at age 64.

Mr. Maurice was born Jan. 10, 1941 to Mauvo and Rozina (Talebi) Faki in Sudan. 
He was a student for 25 years and obtained his master's and doctorate degrees 
at UC Davis.

Survivors include Mr. Maurice's wife of 23 years, Coletta Maurice of Davis; 
his daughters, Rozina Maurice of Davis and Angela Maurice of Seattle; his son, 
Adrian Maurice of Davis; his sisters, Jugba Maurice Faki and Suo Maurice Faki; 
and his brothers, Tabede Maurice Faki, Ba'ase Maurice Faki and Andrea Maurice 
Faki, all of Sudan.

Services: Graveside services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25 at 
the Davis Cemetery, 820 Pole Line Road, Davis. Evergreen Funeral Service of 
Woodland is assisting the family with arrangements.
