Jacob Gabriel Ortiz of Dixon died on Monday, Dec. 19, 2005, at Woodland 
Memorial Hospital at age 6.

Jacob was born July 7, 1999 in Woodland to Raul Ortiz and Sarah Bell. He was a 
Yolo County resident for four years. He was in first grade at the time of his 
death.

Survivors include Jacob's mother, Sarah Bell of Woodland; his father, Raul 
Ortiz and his wife Carmen Guzman of Dixon; his sisters, Samantha and Stephanie 
Ortiz of Woodland; his brother, Jose Luis Ortiz of Dixon; his stepsisters, 
Vanessa and Lizzette Larios; his stepbrother, Anthony Larios, all of Dixon; 
his grandmother, Rosalie Miller of Sacramento as well as numerous aunts, 
uncles and cousins.

Services: A vigil service is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26, at Holy 
Rosary Church, 301 Walnut St., Woodland. A Mass of Christian burial will be 
celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, with interment to follow at St. 
Joseph's Cemetery in Woodland. Evergreen Funeral Service of Woodland is 
assisting the family with arrangements.
