Arteaga, Maria Esthela       
 
April 1, 1942 - Nov. 20, 2005

Maria Esthela Arteaga died at her Woodland home on Sunday, Nov. 20, 2005, at 
the age of 63. She was born in Santa Inez, Michoacan, Mexico, on April 1, 
1942, to Antonio and Candelaria (Gutierrez) Oseguera, both natives of 
Michoacan.

Mrs. Esthela had been a resident of Yolo County for 25 years. She had been a 
wife and homemaker for 37 years and also worked for a number of years at the 
Hunts-Wesson Cannery in Davis. 

Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Juan M. Arteaga of Woodland; three 
daughters, Maria Esther Arteaga, Gabriela Arteaga and Yesenia Arteaga; and 
son, Ignacio Arteaga, all of Woodland. Other survivors include sisters, 
Esperanza Bravo and Amelia Andrade, both of Santa Ana, and Gloria Oseguera of 
Santa Inez, Michoacan, Mexico. Mrs. Arteaga is also survived by eight 
grandchildren, Amaris, Joel, Kayla, Marcos, Christian, Celeste, Sofia and 
Yasmine, all of Woodland.

Services: Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, Nov. 28, at Kraft 
Bros. Funeral Chapel, 175 Second St., Woodland, with a rosary to be recited at 
7 o'clock the same evening. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 
a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 28, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 301 Walnut St., 
Woodland, with interment to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Woodland. Father 
Fernando Meza will officiate. Memorial donations in Mrs. Arteaga's memory may 
be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Kraft. Bros. Funeral Directors is 
assisting the family with arrangements.
