Mattie Frances Ridens of Fallon, Nev. died at Banner Churchill Community 
Hospital Monday, Jan. 9, 2006 at age 84.

Mrs. Ridens was born Oct. 25, 1921 in West Virginia to the late George and 
Thelma Brown McGlamary. She had been a Yolo County resident for 20 years. She 
was a retired retail sales clerk and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the 
Robbins Volunteer Fire Department. 

Survivors include Mrs. Ridens' husband of 42 years, Roy Ridens of Chico; her 
daughter, Margaret Sherman and her husband Dave of Fallon, Nev. and Joyce 
Moore and her husband Bill of Turlock; her stepdaughters, Linda Nelson and her 
husband Jim of Chico; Jane Roberts and her husband Jim of Mammoth, Kathy Riley 
and her husband Kurt of Rio Linda, and Joyce Zannella and her husband Bill of 
Paso Robles; her son, Ron Grindstaff of Las Vegas; 18 grandchildren; seven 
great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; her sister, Ruth Dye of 
Bristol, Va.; and her brother, George McGlamary of Goodview, Va. She was 
preceded in death by her parents.

Services: Respecting the wishes of Mrs. Ridens, no services were scheduled. 
The Smith Family Funeral Home and Crematory of Fallon, Nev. assisted the 
family with arrangements.
