Philip Gray Ritchie died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006 at Alderson Convalescent 
Hospital in Woodland at age 88. 

Mr. Ritchie was born Jan. 6, 1918 in Winters to Harold and Wanda (Baker) 
Ritchie. He had been a Yolo County resident for most of his life. He attended 
school in Winters, graduating from Winters High School in 1936. After high 
school, her served in the U.S. Army and was stationed at McClellan Air Force 
Base until his honorable discharge. He was employed within the insurance 
industry, where he was a claims adjuster for more than 40 years. He was a 
Mason and a member of the Assembly of God Church of Winters.

Survivors include Mr. Ritchie's wife, Jeannie Ritchie of Winters, and his son, 
Philip M. Ritchie and his wife Antonette of Stockton.

The family requests memorials in Mr. Ritchie's name be directed to the Philip 
Ritchie Memorial Fund, First Northern Bank of Dixon, 48 Main St., Winters, 
95694. Proceeds will support Winters youth music programs.

Services: A celebration of Mr. Ritchie's life is scheduled for noon on Friday, 
Jan. 20 at the Winters Community Center, 201 Railroad Ave., Winters. A private 
inurnment will be held at the Winters Cemetery. Evergreen Funeral Service of 
Woodland is assisting the family with arrangements.
