Basinger, Claudine     
 
Nov. 25, 1934 - Oct. 26, 2005

Claudine Basinger passed away on Oct. 26, 2005 at University Retirement Center 
in Davis. Claudine was born on Nov. 25, 1934 in Colorado Springs, Colo. to 
Jack and Pairlee Seals. She moved with her family to California, settling 
first in Richmond, then in Sacramento where she graduated from Grant Union 
High School. She then moved with her family to Davis where she met and married 
Melvin Basinger, her husband of 52 years. In addition to her husband, she 
leaves their son, Richard W. Basinger and two granddaughters, Amber and 
Krystle. Claudine was preceded in death by her brother, Bertie Seals. 

Claudine spent her working years in banking and as a bookkeeper. Claudine 
enjoyed and was known for her beautiful handiwork and her love for cats. 
Through the years she spent many hours stitching beautiful wall hangings for 
her family and friends. Claudine enjoyed spending time fishing on the 
Sacramento River and Delta with her husband. In addition to her immediate 
family, Claudine's warm and fun loving presence will be greatly missed by her 
extended family and numerous friends in the area.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the
