Nov. 26, 1913 - Aug. 20, 2005

Elizabeth Francis "Granny" Snell of Woodland died Aug. 20, 2005 at age 91.

Mrs. Snell was born Nov. 26, 1913 in Yugoslavia. She had been a Yolo County 
resident for 58 years. She had worked as a nurse for 20 years and was a member 
of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. 

Survivors include Mrs. Snell's daughter Nanci Blankinship of Shady Cove, Ore.; 
her grandchildren, Kayce Cline, Shaun Chadwick, Josh Chadwick, Peggy Denser, 
Bill Coon, Tommy Brinkerhoff, Wendy Buckley, Katie Stuefloten, Kathy Phrampus, 
Linda Styacer, Beth Brinkerhoff, Margie Jones and Judy Clark; 31 great-
grandchildren; 29 great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Angie Nedela of 
Fenton, Mich.; and her brothers, Joe Nedela of Davidson, Mich. and Steve 
Nedela of Ann Arbor, Mich. She was preceded in death by her husband of 17 
years, Richard Snell; her stepdaughters, Betty Coon and Patsy Brinkerhoff and 
her parents, Paul and Mary Nedela.

Services: A body donor memorial service is scheduled for 4 p.m. today, 
Saturday, at the UC Davis Medical Cancer Center Auditorium, 4501 X St., 
Sacramento. Mrs. Snell's has requested that her body be donated to the UCD 
School of Medicine.
