Michael Frederick Stevens died at Cottonwood Healthcare in Woodland Sunday, 
Jan. 15, 2006 at age 68.

Mr. Stevens was born Nov. 25, 1947 in Yreka to Clarence and Wauneta 
(Broughton) Stevens. He is a 1965 graduate of McClatchy High School in 
Sacramento. After high school he received his master's degree in business from 
Sacramento State College and his doctorate in international trade relations in 
England. He was employed at Harrah's Casino at Lake Tahoe as a personnel 
manager for six years and was a caretaker for his parents. He was a lifetime 
member of Tehama Lodge No. 3, F&A Masons. 

Survivors include Mr. Stevens' sister, Carol Orr of Rio Linda and his cousin, 
Bruce Broughton of Rancho Cordova. 

Services: Respecting the wishes of Mr. Stevens, private family services will 
be held at a later date. Evergreen Funeral Service of Woodland is assisting 
the family with arrangements.
