Born Feb. 28, 1973 in Woodland to Rafael Sr. and Lydia (Granados) Trujillo. A cancer survivor, he battled Hodgkin's Lymphoma in his early 20s and had been cancer-free for the past 10 years. This gave him a greater appreciation for life and taught him to live each day for today. His incredible love for life inspired and touched everyone in his life. A constant big dreamer with a huge heart, Ralph was always there for his family and friends. No task was too small nor too great for him to achieve. He was always willing to lend a helping hand even if he was down with a broken leg. He always went out of his way to show he cared. Ralph was an all-around good person. He was a loving son, brother, nephew, uncle, husband and father. His pride and joy were his two daughters Karissa and Vanessa. He loved spending time dancing and singing with them, playing games and just enjoying life with his children. He coached various sports teams for Karissa. Most recently, he coached his first youth basketball game for Karissa on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006. An avid fisherman, he loved trout fishing along the banks of Hat Creek in Old Station with his family, friends and especially his daughters. He was a true outdoorsman and enjoyed sharing this love with his family and friends. His newest passion was riding his Harley-Davidson with his friends. He recently participated in a toy run for the Ronald McDonald Foundation in December. Ralph was always the life of every party. He always made everyone laugh and made sure everyone was having a good time. He loved to joke around and play pranks on his family and friends. Ralph enjoyed his job at Agriform, where he was employed for over 11 years. He loved the people he worked with and the people he met every day. Ralph is survived by his loving wife (the girl next door) of nine years Krista Trujillo, daughters Karissa, 8, and Vanessa, 3, of Esparto. He is also survived by his parents, Ralph Sr. and Lydia Trujillo of Esparto; sister Loretta Trujillo of Esparto, nieces Lisa Hernandez, Alexis Trujillo and Dominique Beauchamp of Esparto; his grandmothers Joan Granados and Consuelo Trujillo both of Garden Grove, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Bernice Travis and husband Jerry of Dunnigan; sister-in-law Karah Erickson and husband Philip, nephew Daren and niece Kinsey of Esparto; brother-in-law Bill Beathem and wife Dee Dee, niece Braelyn of Woodland. Ralph has joined his baby sister, Connie Trujillo, who he is now watching over and teaching her all the things that she was unable to do. He was also preceded in death by his grandfathers Maximo "Max" Trujillo and Edward Granados from Garden Grove. The family requests flowers (roses). Donations may be made in Ralph's memory for Karissa and Vanessa to the Yolo Federal Credit Union. A vigil will be held Thursday, Jan. 19 at 6 p.m. at St. Martin's Church in Esparto. Mass of Christian burial and enlightenment will be held on Friday, Jan. 20 at 11 a.m. at the Holy Rosary Church in Woodland with interment to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
