Mrs. Worley was born to Henry and Dora Patton on Sept. 10, 1913 in Ashfork, Ariz. She graduated from Samuel Merritt College of Nursing in Oakland in 1936 and became a registered nurse. Her first job was in Woodland. She practiced nursing for more than 40 years. The last 17 years of her career she worked at UCD Medical Center in Sacramento. She was a member of the North Sacramento United Methodist Church in Sacramento. She was a long-time member of the Woodlake Mother's Club. Survivors include Mrs. Worley's sons, Bart Henry Worley and his wife Charlene of North Highlands and Thomas Cummins Worley and his wife Victoria of Woodland; her granddaughters, Kimberly McArn and her husband Mario of Stockton, Pamela Pekarek and her husband John of Burlington, Colo., and Brandy Houser and her husband Chris of Modesto; her grandson, Cody Worley of North Highlands; her great-grandchildren, Taylor and Myles McArn, Jaiden and Zachary Pekarek; her nieces, Patricia Ghiglieri and her husband Robert of Folsom and Sally Mellinger of San Carlos; and her sister-in-law, Louise Smith of Maui, Hawaii. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Bart White Worley Jr.; her parents, Henry and Dora Patton and her siblings, Mary, Ruth, Henry and Dora preceded her in death. The family requests memorials in Mrs. Worley's name be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Services: A celebration of Mrs. Worley's life is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25 at the United Methodist Church, 650 El Camino Ave., Sacramento. A gathering of family and friends will immediately follow at her home in Sacramento. She will be inurned at Chester District Cemetery in Chester. The Neptune Society of Northern California is assisting the family with arrangements. Published in the Daily Democrat on 2/23/2006.
