Clara Adaline Hoopes Young's grave marker. Born October 17, 1851 in Lancaster 
County, Pennsylvania and died in Oakland, Alameda County, California on 
November 24, 1936. One of her daughter's, Ethel Belle Young is buried next to 
her. 

Additional Comments:
This is my Great Great Grandmother's burial site. Clara Adaline Hoopes was born
October 17 1851 in Lancaster County Pennsylvania. She moved with her parents 
to Prairie City, Douglas County, Kansas in the mid to late 1850's. There she 
met my Great Great Grandfather William Bradley Young(he was born and raised in 
Michigan) at church in about 1871. Clara was a school teacher and moved to 
Woodland where William was living and working as a miller. She traveled west 
and married him in San Francisco in 1875. They lived in Woodland, Esparto and 
Knight's Landing on and off from 1875 until about 1918. Clara is interred next 
to her daughter Ethel Belle Young. Clara had 5 children and only two survived 
childhood.
