Appeal Democrat Friday November 30, 1945
Funeral services for Joseph R Hartley longtime Wheatland district stock raiser 
were held at 2 pm Thursday in the Lipp & Sullivan chapel with the Masonic lodge 
conducting C. M. Burschell acted as worthy master and was assisted by other 
members of the order. Pallbearers were Thomas McDemitt, Archie Robertson, 
Chester Steinman, James Hudson, P.O. Daltzman, Tom Brewer, Lloyd Nightingale 
and Arthur Steinman. Interment followed in Wheatland Cemetery.
