State of California County of Yuba Office of the County Clerk.  Satisfactory 
Proof having been laid before me that no legal obstacle exists to the 
marriage of John Brown and Alice Steward authority for the celebration 
there of is hereby given. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand 
and the Seal of the County Court of said County this 21st day of July AD 
1871. B. Eilerman, Clerk.  County Of Yuba.  I hereby certify that the above 
named John Brown and Alice Steward were by me duly united in marriage 
on the 23rd day of August AD 1871 at the Oregon House in said County 
and State. Moses Robbins J.P. Filed for Record at request of Moses 
Robbins Aug 29 AD 1871 at 30 minutes past 1 o'clock PM.  Recorded 
Sept 27 AD 1871. B Eilerman recorder by EE Meek.
