Guy Elmore Melrose

   Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Allison
Presbyterian Church for Guy E. Melrose who died Friday, April
8, 1994, at Mercy Medical Center (Durango, CO.).
   He was 76.  The Rev. Stan Formby will officiate.  Burial
will be at Hilltop Cemetery (Pagosa Springs, CO.)
   He was preceded in death by two sisters,  Dell Tinnin and
Lola Snow and brother, Hugh Melrose.
   Mr. Melrose was born Jan. 10, 1918, in Durango.  He was a
lifelong area resident.  He was a veteran of WWII.  Before
his retirement, he was a truck driver for the U.S. Postal
Service.
   Survivors include his son, Joe Melrose of Grants, N.M.; a
sister, Quida Russell of Sandpoint, Idaho;  three
grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several nieces
and nephews.

Note: They lived at Arboles, CO., on the Colo/New Mexico
line. They went to school in Pagosa Springs.)
