Boulder.

    County seat of Boulder county, is thirty miles northwest of Denver
    on the Union Pacific and Colorado & Southern Rys. Its altitude is
    5,335 feet above sea level, population 10,000. The city is located
   at the junction of the foothills and the plains and is the gateway
    to the numerous mining camps in Boulder canon reached by well built
    roads. Thousands of acres of the best agricultural land in the state,
    most of it being in a high state of cultivation, producing all the
    necessities of life, surround Boulder, while underneath the adjacent
    land are large deposits of oil, coal and precious metals, which
    combine to make Boulder an important point both for mining and
    agriculture. The oil fields add much to Boulder's resources. A
    number of pleasure resorts are tributary to Boulder. Boulder is
    noted for its elegant residences and homes and excellent public
    schools. Large shade trees adorn both sides of the streets. It has
    handsome business blocks and a county court house second to none in
    the state, costing $125,000. Here is located the Colorado State
    University, one of the best educational institutions in the West.
    The city has a good city of water works and is lighted by electric
    arc lights. Boulder offers special inducements to investors, and to
    those looking for homes and health. Connected with Denver by electric
    trolley line every hour.
