Mr. Goyn feels very well satisfied with the workings of the new machines. Tuesday a remarkably good place in the wheat line was struck. On the farm of George Kraig in Left Hand (Canyon), a stack of wheat was run through the thresher and Mr. Kraig was agreeably surprised at the result, the yield being between 27 and 30 bushels to the acre. This however is far from the average "I'll tell you, said Mr. Goyn, some fields may go eighteen or less and it is not fair to take the stack as average and I have made it a rule never to tell an editor anything nor to help along the millers". Perhaps Mr. Goyn did not intend to tell us anything but for his information we are obliged.
