While Judge Terry, as he was always called has been living elsewhere for a short period, he is so well known to all the old settlers that they will be interested. He was president of the Chicago Colorado Colony and active with others in establishing the town of Longmont. A man much respected for his Christian character and personal worth. An active member of the Methodist church, he has done much in the past with such men as the late O.A. McFarland in giving a good foundation for its perpetuity. Age has told on him so that during the last ten years he has been obliged to give up some of the activities of life. Seth Terry was born in Enfield, Conn., Aug. 27, 1820. While in Connecticut he was elected Probate Judge, and the title followed him. Married to Clarissa Jane Burbank in 1856, by whom he had 11 children. She passed away in April, 1898. The Judge married again to Mrs. Frances Bartlett in September, 1899. He leaves a wife, two sons and four daughters, thirty-six grand children and one great grandchild. The remains are expected this morning in Longmont, accompanied by W. H. Terry, S. I. Terry and Henry Preston. Funeral services will be held Saturday, probably at the M. E. church. Additional Comments: Seth Terry's second wife, Frances Burbank Bartlett, was the sister of his first wife, Clarissa Jane Burbank Terry.
