Elze of 1052 E. Mission Blvd. died Saturday in a Pomona convalescent hospital after 14 months of illness. Mr. Elze was born May 18, 1887, in Westcliffe, Colo. He came to California in 1942 and lived in Santa Rosa before moving to Pomona in 1955. Survivors include his widow, Ida May; two sons, Karl of Carmichael and Walter of Pomona; a daughter, Mrs. Pearl Cirelli of Redwood City; four brothers, Otto and Arnold of Westcliffe, Gottlieb of Pueblo, Colo., and Fred of Royal, Iowa; four sisters, Mrs. Susie Schwartz of Canon City, Colo., Mrs. Selma Lensch of Westcliffe, Mrs. Bertha Fischer of Denver, and Mrs. Lena Rogers of Santa Fe, N.M.; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Todd Memorial Chapel Pomona, with the Rev. Clinton Helstab officiating. Private entombment will follow in Pomona Mausoleum. Charles F.
