Mrs. Lena Koch, 86, lifelong resident of Custer County, died suddenly at her home near Hillside Tuesday night. Death was attributed to advanced age and a heart ailment. She was apparently in good health, and her death came as a shock to her family and friends. Born in Chicago, Illinois, she came here with her parents when she was a small child, and had made her home on a ranch near Hillside since that time, with the exception of a brief period spent in Canon City. She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Mollie Berry of Hillside, Mrs. Lucy Shea, of Saskatchewan, Canada, Mrs. Lena Evans, of Los Angeles, California, Mrs. Annie Caughman and Mrs Hattie Bowman, of Salida: and four sons, William, Louis H., Fred and Helmuth G. all of whom reside in Custer county [all now deceased].
