OBIT: KOCH, Mrs. Conrad (Mary H.); Wet Mountian Tribune, March 6, 1936 http://files.usgwarchives.net/co/custer/obits/kochmh.txt Contributed Nov. 2001 by: Ann Koch =============================================== Wet Mountain Tribune, March 6, 1936 Services Held Sunday for Mrs. Conrad Koch Mrs. Mary Hannah [Topliss] Koch was born in [Lancaster] Davis County, Wisconsin, on October 8, 1863 [1864] and came to this [Custer] county in 1879 living near the present town of Ilse. In the same year she was united in marriage to Conrad Koch and moved to Hillside [Fremont County] where Mr. Koch was engaged in ranching and at which place she resided until her death. Mrs. Koch passed away at the hospital in Salida last Thursday following an illness of about ten days. She is survived by her husband and seven children, Mrs. Dorsey Garnier, Mrs. Art Garnier, Mrs. Gus Menzel, Mrs. Noble Austin and Charlie Koch, all of this county; Mrs. Sam Shephard and Mrs. Jack Bertorello of Montrose, Colorado [all now deceased]. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. Tomlinson conducting.
